Re: Welcome arcee_layen!!
Hello there and thanks for the welcome!
I am new to the fish hobby but I'm delving straight into it. Its always something I wanted to get into but the parents told me no my whole life. Finally I just went and bought a small tank for my room and funny enough infected the whole household with fish love!
I started off with a very light pink and blue veil-tail betta and named him Max. He is a very friendly and social fish that will always swim to the front of the tank when someone is around. He is also very active.
Here is his little tank
Here he is after I got him home
Here is a picture from a couple of days ago
This is his new tank set up
I have also recently been fostering a rather large angelfish named Lawrence Harris Jr, and a very shy pleco named Matt. I say fostering because I initially got him because his previous owner was selling the tank, stand, and fish and I just wanted the bigger tank for Max (my room is too cold for the little guy).
However my parents have said yes to getting a bigger tank for Lawrence and Matt after Christmas, so he's here to stay. At first I was a little worried about him when I first got him home but he is healthy and happy now, if not a very shy fish. Matt you ever barely see though he's so timid.
Poor thing is in a ten gallon
We moved him upstairs after deciding to keep him
This is the best picture I've gotten of Matt
Lawrence is about three or four years old now.
That is all for now but it is growing rapidly. I did not realize I would enjoy having fish in my house so much.
