Re: Welcome Mikey!!!
Hey everyone!
Thanks for the warm reception. I have to thank Page at the Bedford Commons Pets Unlimited for steering me to your web site. The business cards do pay off! Page is great as well!
I recently moved to Fall River and built a home in St Andrew's Village. Part of my landscaping endeavour included a 15 x 25 pond fed by twin water falls. I stocked it with some gold fish and a few koi and then the fun started. (I won't go into the plants & scrubs!!) This is my second over-winter with the fish and I have been fairly successfull with most of them surviving. After loosing some of the fish during the past summer, (goldfish are called feeders for a reason) I decided to set up a 50gal aquarium in my home and fatten some coldwater fish up over winter for the spring thaw. There is a whole lot of stories related to the foregoing but I don't want to belabour the point as part of my introduction.
I have a lot of questions and have gathered quite a bit of information (the hard way) which I would like to share so I'm looking forward to this forum. Although my concentration is presently on coldwater fish I have always had a secret desire ti get into a saltwater aquarium but my wife would kill me!! Again, thanks for the warm reception. Now bring on spring and let the games begin.
Cheers.
