hi,im scott.about middle age(i hope).i have a wife,stepdaughter 21,& son 6,kids are great,i like fish too.i remember as a kid my parents had fish,i started with a 10 g(long gone) then a 27 g(my wife uses),i've had a 108 g for 25 years now and i've had alot of different fish.it didn't take long for me to end up with cichlids.convicts,salvins,dempseys,texas,oscars,and a few others.oscars get big,and mean.my first one lasted 7 years,and he beat up everyone until he was all alone,then he laid eggs ???? was i wrong.i tried other species for awhile,but i was hooked.back to the cichlids i went,and yes,oscars again.during renovations i had to shut it down,but its back up,i kept a dempsey with my wifes fish,but had to get rid of the rest.i've been thinking about going african.demasoni,yellow labs,white labs,black tanzania,im thinking around 30 or 40 maybe weed out till i get a good m/f ratio.i picked up a few hongi,a cherry hab,& something im not sure about on the weekend.i have alot of rock in there......oh yeah the dempsey is in there too 7 -8 ",not even i little bit nasty.lived with convicts from eggs at least 3 times..its going to have to go isn't it . all advice is appreciated.also looking for africans(above) ps might have a dempsey to trade
