2 African cichlids needing a home

Another email from TACONS rescue program ad. She joined the forum and I am assuming she is greend5. Pm her about the cichlids. :)
Hi there,
I was wondering if you could help me. I have 2 cichlids about 3-4 inches long. They got big way faster then I expected and I cant afford to buy them a bigger aquarium. There in a 20 gallon now, but its too small so they keep fighting and I didn't want them to die so I put in a divider which only gives them 10 gallons each. They are very healthy but just not happy because they don't have the room that they need and I feel horrible about it. I emailed another lady who said she had a fish rescue but she didn't seem legit so I've kept them. I just joined your club and it looks great so I feel much better if you guys could take them instead of someone who wants them for pet food or something. I have a bit of food to go with them too if you (or whoever wants them) is interested. One is a Cobalt cichlid (a blueish purple colour) and the other is a Livingston. They are beautiful and healthy, just not happy

Got them home and sitting in the tank...they sure are pretty! I'll take some photos tomorrow

I was going to wait until tomorrow but decided to do some tonight....they are settling in fine. The Livingston and my Red Empress are trying to decide who will be dominant, but they are calming down. The little blue guy is having a great time...buddyed up with my German Red right away.

Very nice! Congrats on the new editions! I like the blue guy- I am obviously not a cichlid person- I wouldn't know the names of any but the 'dwarf' cichlids. I know bolivian ram, and german ram :)

Nice colours on the cobalt blue and the Livingston. Those are nice additions to your tank.

Shows ya how much I know about cichlids! :lol:

I am a tad obsessed with Malawi cichlids.
But don't ask me about Lake Tanganyika, Victorian or other West African cichlids though. :scratch:
